I’m so happy you’re here.

My path into nutrition started years ago, when my own experiences with weight, fitness, and food sparked a curiosity about how nutrition shapes the way we feel, move, and live. That curiosity became a career, and eventually, something even more personal. Navigating hormone dysregulation, PCOS, and Hashimoto’s hypothyroidism taught me firsthand how complicated it can be to understand your own body, and how different that process can look from person to person.

That experience is a big part of why I take a ROOTed approach to nutrition.

Rather than starting with a list of rules or telling you what you “should” be doing, I want to understand the whole picture. Your health history, symptoms, habits, goals, relationship with food, and what actually fits into your life. From there, we can start connecting the dots, figuring out what your body needs, and making changes that feel realistic and sustainable.

I’ve had the opportunity to work with more than 100 clients using a functional nutrition approach, helping people navigate everything from hormone health and PCOS to metabolic health, digestive symptoms, and major life transitions. I hold both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree from Miami University and am a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist.

What matters most to me is how you feel throughout the process. You shouldn’t have to feel like you’re constantly starting over, following a perfect plan, or trying to figure everything out on your own. My goal is to help you better understand your body, feel more confident in your choices, and build a way of eating that supports your health and your life.

Hi, I’m Madelyn!

A ROOTed Approach to Nutrition

There’s a reason I call my approach ROOTed.

When something feels off with your health, it’s easy to focus on the most obvious symptom and try to fix it as quickly as possible. But your body doesn’t work in isolation. Sleep can affect hunger. Stress can affect digestion. Blood sugar can affect energy. Hormones can affect appetite, mood, and so much more.

Instead of looking at one piece at a time, we take a step back and look at the whole picture. We get curious about what’s going on, connect the dots, and figure out what actually makes sense for you.

R | Reflect

We start with where you are right now.

That means looking at your current eating habits, routines, health history, symptoms, relationship with food, and goals. We’ll talk about what you’ve tried before, what worked, what didn’t, and what you’re hoping to change.

O | Observe

Then we start paying attention to what your body is telling you.

Hunger and fullness, energy, digestion, sleep, cravings, symptoms, menstrual cycles, blood sugar, and other patterns can all give us useful information. The goal isn’t to obsess over every detail. It’s to get better at noticing what’s happening and understanding why.

O | Optimize

Once we have a better picture, we can start putting the pieces together.

We’ll look at what your body may need more of, where there may be gaps, and which changes could actually make a difference. That might mean adjusting meals, supporting blood sugar, looking more closely at labs, improving nutrient intake, or simply making your everyday routine a little more supportive.

T | Thrive

The goal isn’t to follow a perfect plan forever.

It’s to build habits that become part of your life and continue to work as your life changes. We’ll focus on progress you can actually maintain, so nutrition feels like something that supports your life rather than something you constantly have to think about.

That’s what being ROOTed means to me. Understanding what’s underneath the surface, building from there, and creating an approach that works for you.

FAQs

What services do you offer?

1

I offer personalized nutrition support based on your health history, symptoms, goals, and what’s actually going on in your day-to-day life. Services include initial consultations, follow-up appointments, and on-demand lab reviews for clients who want a closer look at their existing labs without committing to ongoing care.

I work with a range of areas including hormone health and fertility, PCOS, weight management and GLP-1 support, diabetes and metabolic health, autoimmune and histamine-related conditions, prenatal and postpartum nutrition, and more.

How do I get started?

2

It starts with an Initial Consultation. This is a 90-minute session where we take a deeper look at your health history, symptoms, daily habits, labs, and anything that has felt off.

From there, we’ll talk through what may be worth focusing on and what working together could look like. You can continue with follow-up appointments or choose the approach that makes the most sense for you. There’s no pressure to commit to ongoing care.

What makes you different?

3

I don’t believe nutrition should come down to a list of rules or a one-size-fits-all meal plan.

I take a ROOTed approach, which means we look at the whole picture, get curious about what your body is telling you, and connect the dots between your symptoms, habits, health history, and goals. My goal is to help you understand your body and make changes that actually fit your life, rather than giving you another plan that’s hard to maintain.
